Identifying soccer talent

After months of planning, preparation and following the success of a taster trial held on the 25th August, ID Soccer is now open with its two new coaching centres located at Crofton Secondary School, Stubbington on Friday evenings from 5pm and at Warblington Secondary School, Havant on Monday evenings from 6pm.

The management team behind this new proposition have many years of experience in the development of grass roots football and have the technical knowledge to ensure the coaching is delivered to the highest standard as well as differentiating themselves form other organisation offering similar services.

Speaking shortly after the trial, David Hazelgrove, Recruitment Director, said “We thought long and hard about what will make us different to other coaching companies and we have a defined ethos concentrating on the following two areas Coaching the game, where focus will be on areas related to match play such as decision making, communication, scanning and playing under pressure and Play the game as we believe that players should take what they have been coached and apply it in a match situation.”

The two centres are located near Fareham and Havant and have been set up to give access to all the local grass root football clubs and players based in the area.  On offer will be two levels of coaching, FOUNDATION, which is open to 5-8yr old boys and girls of any ability and ADVANCED for players who must have had playing experience and coaching, this is open to boys aged 9-12yrs; the courses runfor 10 weeks and the first session is free enabling both players and parents to come along and have a taster to see what they think before bookingonto a course.

ID Soccer is not a club and has been established to provide that extra level of additional coaching and direction for the players and teams who want to learn and take their football to another level.   With this approach, ID Soccer have worked closelywith several grass roots managers who have helped with inviting players into the centres and have supported the development of the project.  It is very important for these managers to be involved as the work they do with their players is the most crucial part;the engaging, inspiring and developing of young players is a skill, so their hard work both on and off the field must be recognised and supported.

With the support of the managers being a key element of the business proposition Jonathan Moore, Business & Marketing Director explains We are not wanting managers to go unrewarded for their efforts, so ID Soccer are aiming tomake themselves different form other organisations, we would like to say thank you! This will be for players who have that extra talent and progress through our scouting network, where the source manager and team will benefit from a thank you in the form ofcoaching support to equipment. Here we can hopefully ensure that the rest of their team and club see that we valuethe work carried out on a weekly basis.
